Thank you for your interest in the Gen Con Block Party for 2026.

This year the block party will take place from Thursday, July 30, through Sunday, August 2, 2026, on South Street between Capitol and Missouri Streets (between Lucas Oil Stadium and the Convention Center). The hours of operation are as follows: 

  • Thursday, July 30: 9:00 am-8:00 pm EST 
  • Friday, July 31: 9:00 am-8:00 pm EST 
  • Saturday, August 1: 9:00 am-8:00 pm EST 
  • Sunday, August 2: 9:00 am-4:00 pm EST 

As one of the most anticipated events of the summer, the Gen Con Block Party Food truck operations for 2026 will now look like the following:

Quantity of Food Trucks:

30 trucks in total will be selected via the Gen Con Selection Committee to participate all four days.

Investment: 

The investment for the four-day event will be $3,000. To invest you must commit to all four days of operation. There is no longer a daily ticket investment.

Monday, May 4, 9:00 am EST
Applications open.

Monday, May 18, 11:59 pm EST
Applications close

Thursday, June 11, by 5 pm EST
Selection Notification 

The applications will be reviewed by the Gen Con Block Party Committee and everyone who applied will notified of the committee's decision by June 11. A total of 30 food trucks will be selected to serve throughout the Gen Con Block Party on all four consecutive dates. Your final investment will be due two weeks prior to the start of the Block Party to allow for participation.

We are only accepting applications from food trucks and trailers. No tented food vendors. 

Food trucks will be chosen based on menus, pricing, presentation, and cleanliness, from images and menus submitted with applications. 

Location Selection:
Location will be based on size of trucks/trailers and determined by the Gen Con Block Party Committee. 

Daily Restock:

Restocking will be permitted with a designated pass but will require vehicles to park in a designated area off Missouri and South Street and hand cart needed supplies to your operations location. 

Ice:
Ice will be available for purchase on site. Each bag of ice will be $10 and must be paid via credit card at the time of purchase. No cash will be accepted.
